Welcome
Brendon is our friendly three bedroom semi-detached Victorian house at the top of Polruan (opposite Fowey). The house is available to be used by friends (please see the availability and rates section of this website).
Polruan is a traditional waterside village situated on the east bank of the River Fowey. The Fowey estuary is well known for its safe anchorage and sailing facilities. Fowey itself can be reached by car via the Ferry at nearby Bodinnick, or by regular passenger ferry running from the quay in Polruan. National Trust owned land surrounds the area and there are many scenic coastal walks. Plymouth is approximately 40 miles away. There are main line railway stations at Par, Lostwithiel and Bodmin. Polruan has a food shop and a post office, two pubs and a cafe, trading all year round and catering for most every day requirements.
The house has:
ground floor: a kitchen/breakfast room with a separate utility and downstairs shower room with loo. As well as a Sitting room with a woodburner there is a large twin bedroom and a large conservatory with dining table and sitting ares.
Upstairs there are two bedrooms (one twin, one double), a bathroom (shower over bath), with a large sitting room running across the back of the house, with far reaching views out to sea and out to the Lizard peninsula. The front garden and patio have estuary views across to Fowey. There is parking for one car in garage (or two small cars), (there is a pay car park 100 metres away and another car park about 500 metres away).
